Catherine Tang
Recipient of HKAUW Distinguished Achievement Award

Catherine Tang Jie, winner of the 50th Anniversary Distinguished Achievement Award received her L.L.B. in China and her Postgraduate Diploma in Common Law and the MPhil from the University of Hong Kong. She has devoted several years to humanitarian work with Oxfam Hong Kong and Volunteer Service Overseas. Two years ago she began to work as a Field Project Coordinator for the China-Canada Judicial Linkages Project, contributing to the judicial reform initiatives of the Supreme People’s Court and the National Judge College. She has combined her development experience and legal training to promote cooperation between the judiciaries of both Canada and China.
